The Association of Persons with Disabilities Belgrade continues to hold panels this year as well. The very title of the first panel, “Support for easier employment”, which was held on the 28th of March in a hall of the municipality of Voždovac, symbolizes our work so far.

During the discussion, an important fact was highlighted, that over the past ten years half a million of PWDs have been employed, which contributed to the reduction of the unemployment rate, despite the Corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine. That is why it is important to work on raising awareness, and constant training of persons with disabilities so that they can integrate into the working environment as easily as possible and master necessary skills.
The Association of Persons with Disabilities will fight for the upper limit for the employment of persons with disabilities in state-owned companies to be mandatory by law. MP Dubravka Filipovski, on this occasion emphasized the importance of a good legal basis which enables the employment of PWDs, and also that in addition to the state sector the private sector should also be stimulated to get involved in the employment of the most sensitive part of society.
